Do you have a complex about " fat cheeks "? Would you like to lose weight on your face and cheeks ? Cheek liposuction is an excellent option for removing facial fat from the cheeks and jowls in a single session.
What is cheek liposuction?
Cheek liposuction is a cosmetic surgery procedure designed to "lose cheeks". The technique involves suctioning away superficial subcutaneous fat that is difficult to eliminate through dieting or physical activity.
The aim is to refine the face to redefine its shape, and even hollow out the cheeks.
Post-operative scars are very discreet, almost invisible. They measure barely 3 mm and are hidden under the chin or earlobe.
To enhance the results obtained, other procedures can be combined with cheek liposuction, such as cheekbone lipofilling, upper lip lift or double chin liposuction.
Which liposuction technique is used for the cheeks?
Dr Delobaux uses the VASER HD liposuction technique and the RENUVION skin retraction technique to perform cheek liposuction.
VASER HD liposuction uses ultrasound to liquefy fat prior to extraction. As a result, your liposuction is gentler, less invasive and more controlled.
The RENUVION skin retraction technique allows the skin to be tightened to the new facial contours at the end of the procedure, without leaving any scars.
What are the steps before your cheek liposuction?
Before undergoing cheek liposuction, you will need to make an appointment for a pre-operative consultation with Dr Delobaux.
During this initial consultation, your surgeon will consider your expectations and needs. He or she will also carry out a medical check-up to ensure that you are fit to receive his or her care.
Finally, your surgeon will ensure that a satisfactory result can be achieved by assessing your facial morphology, skin quality and the amount of fat tissue to be removed.
You will also have to undergo two pre-operative examinations: a blood test and a consultation with the anaesthetist.
What is the procedure for your cheek liposuction?
Cheek liposuction is performed under local anesthetic. More anxious patients can of course benefit from a procedure under general anaesthetic or sedation.
Hospitalization is on an outpatient basis, which means you can leave the clinic the same day. The procedure lasts between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the quantity of fat cells to be removed. The procedure is as follows:
- The surgeon makes 3-mm incisions under the chin and earlobes.
- It infuses a saline-based anti-bleeding solution.
- It liquefies grease using ultrasound with VASER technology.
- He inserts multiperforated cannulas into the incisions and performs gentle liposuction.
- He redraws the skin and closes the incisions.
- He applies a pressure bandage.
What happens after cheek liposuction?
Following cheek liposuction:
- You will wake up with a pressure bandage on your face.
- No drain is laid.
- A press lift (elastic hood) is sometimes used to promote tissue retraction. It greatly facilitates the post-operative period and must be worn 24 hours a day for 7 to 15 days.
- You can shower the day after the operation.
- You can return to work 2 days after the operation.
- Ecchymosis is present for the first 2 weeks.
- The skin is hard and sensitive for 1 to 3 months.
Most often, during the first postoperative days, there are :
- Edema (swelling) in the treated areas. This may last 2 to 4 weeks.
- Bruising, often asymmetrical. These disappear after an average of 15 days.
- Pain is common. They generally last less than a week and are well relieved by simple analgesics.
- Sensory disturbances and/or numbness may persist for several months.
- You can return to work after 7 days.
