The Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure

A Brazilian Butt Lift is performed under general or local anesthesia. In the latter case, fat is harvested from a single area and reinjected.

The procedure takes about 3 hours, and the hospital stay lasts one night.

  • LIPOSUCTION: The first phase involves slowly and gently suctioning all the predefined fatty areas through liposuction to sculpt the figure, with the goal of achieving a slimmer bust and harmonious, attractive curves.
  • PREPARATION: The second step involves preparing the fat cells: they are washed with saline solution and purified by decantation. Each jar of adipose tissue requires approximately 30 minutes of washing.
  • REINJECTION: The third phase involves injecting fat cells into the gluteal muscles and transitional areas to achieve the desired shape and volume of the buttocks. These fat cells are injected in small droplets at varying depths to ensure the highest survival rate of the fat cells.

Before a Brazilian butt lift procedure

Before a BBL procedure, you will be provided with a quote, an information sheet, and an informed consent form. A minimum waiting period of 15 days is required to allow you to carefully consider your decision. If you decide to proceed, you will need to have a blood test and must see the anesthesiologist for the mandatory preoperative visit, which must take place within the month prior to the procedure.

Preoperative Consultation

After a BBL procedure, a recovery period of just under a week is necessary and sufficient. You’ll be able to sit on your buttocks, but you should avoid doing so for too long during the first week. You must wear the Lipopanty for one month.

The Results

The Brazilian butt lift is a relatively painless procedure. Scars are virtually nonexistent. Any marks left on the skin correspond to the diameter of the cannulas used to extract and reinject fat. The results are long-lasting, and the appearance remains natural.

The final result can be assessed after about 3 months, which is the time needed to evaluate the percentage of fat cells that have been absorbed. A second procedure is sometimes necessary to refine the result.
