The Renuvion®/J-Plasma® system consists of a device that uses radio frequencies to convert helium gas into plasma.

The plasma jet generated by the device is applied to or under the skin using a cannula, in a very precise and controlled manner.

The jet releases sufficient heat at the desired location to cause tissue contraction and skin tightening. The effects on the treated area are immediately visible, as loose skin is tightened.

When the patient wishes to smooth the skin, the plasma jet is delivered to the skin's surface to eliminate the superficial layer, thus removing imperfections and the first signs of aging.

Unlike other devices used for skin resurfacing, such as lasers, Renuvion®/J-Plasma® enables treatment without deep skin burns.

As the thin layer of skin regenerates, collagen production is also stimulated , contributing to skin firming.

Recovery time is variable and depends on the area treated. It generally takes 3 to 5 days. You will keep a bandage on for about 1 week. Discomfort is normal for the first few days.

If necessary, analgesics will be prescribed to relieve pain. Swelling and bruising may be present for up to 2 weeks.

After facial smoothing, scaling and redness may occur during the first 2 weeks.

Since this treatment is minimally invasive compared to standard surgery, risks are greatly reduced and recovery time is shorter.

The main risk is infection. This manifests itself as a sensation of heat, redness and pain in the treated area.
